This afternoon I am at Banton Primary we made a quick podcast to demo the podcast server.

Last week Mrs. McCabe and I visited Primary 6-7 at St Ignatius to introduce animation. The pupils worked really well creating 100s of frames in a very short time. Now they know how to animate they are planning some stories to animate when we go back next week.

Based on Tom Barrett's Maths Maps, I have created a couple of Maths Maps that work on ter IPod Touch at the NLC iPod Playground. This is a Movie of the webpage on a touch.

Today I am in Cathedral Primary School demonstrating podcasting to Mrs Shearer, Emma and Olivia from Primary Seven, they will be podcasting soon!

This is an example blog post with an image. Its only purpose is to make a screencast for the ICT & TS Podcast.

SconicPics is an iPhone/ipod touch application that allows you to create custom slideshow movies. The movies are made from still photos which you can add from the photo library or take with the iPhone's camera. You can then narrate a voice over and create and enhanced m4v video with chapters.

I found it very easy to use, photos can be reordered and titled, the titles become the chapter name.

The movies can be published to youTube or transfered to your computer over wifi.

In this example I've just used some pictures from classrooms I've been teaching in recently. It only took a few minutes to create and I am sure taking a little more time would have produced a more professional result and few plosives. I exported the 4v to reduce the size which removed the chapters too.

I've spent the last two Monday afternoons working with Primary 7 b at Glenmanor Primary School.

We created some music in GarageBand and uploaded it to Glow. The pupils all worked very hard and we finished off by reviewing what we had learnt:

This morning I am at Woodland Primary demonstrating audio podcasting to DHT Yvonne Gibb.

Mrs McCabe and myself were at Stepps primary this week helping the primary sevens to get started with GarageBand and uploading their music into Glow. We had a great time and the primary sevens worked really hard. We took 10 minutes at the end to make a quick movie about what we had been doing.

On Tuesday I was working with a group of children at St Francis of Assisi Primary School on stop motion animation. They based their animation on the Eejits, a Scots 'translation' of Roald Dahl's The Twits and came up with a great animation. Make sure you watch to the end to get the top animation tips from the children.

We used SAM animation to create the movie and iMovie to add the audio and titles.

P5 and 6 were learning to use iMovie so that they can make films for their VIB (Very Important Bear Project)
